D. Sarrut is a senior researcher at CNRS. He works in the fields of medical image processing, simulations and medical physics. The principal applications of his work are related to the treatment of cancer by radiotherapy and imaging with ionizing radiation (x-ray tomography, nuclear imaging). He co-authored more than 75 international journal articles, more than 70 papers in international conferences and participated to 10 European and ANR projects. He supervised 15 defended PhD theses (2 on-going). He is the leader of the team "tomoradio" at CREATIS laboratory (“Tomographic imaging and therapy with radiation”) and is leading a research group at the Léon Bérard cancer center in Lyon, France, dedicated to advanced methods in medical physics simulations and image-guided radiation therapy.
